 May 17th is Armed Forces Day here.

Whether you agree with your country's foreign policy or not, there's one thing I've always been proud of;  the men and women of our Armed Forces who've done their duty, whether they agreed or not as well.
I'm not going to debate if where they've gone or why they went was or is the right thing to do or not.  I'm simply going to say to all of them one thing; 

THANK YOU FOR SERVING.    

Happy Holidays to everyone, now and in the coming year.  I continue to be amazed at the diversity and talent of all the different artists who post here and want to say thanks to all of you who take the time and effort to do so.  I've done some research into some of what it takes to be able to do what you 'seem' to do so effortlessly and like all such things, discovered it requires time, dedication and perseverance to make it all look so good.

Ray Bradbury is gone now.  He was, in my opinion, one of the top 3 science fiction writers of our time.   I believe Ray was in his 90's when he passed on and if there is any justice in the world, he's gone from here but is actually alive and well in some alternate dimension of his choice, wining and dining with his friends and loved one's after an epic struggle with the evil minions of [insert evil overlord name here].   

I can't even begin to guess how many hours I have devoted to reading his work and I hope that he knew how much his fans loved what he created and shared with us.  If any of you are unfamiliar with his work, I urge you to look into it.  The man was a prolific writer and I expect that if you like the genre he wrote in, in the first place, you'll find something of his that will make curl up with his stories and forget the passage of time as you join him in his world/s.

My gallery has works by two different artists, neither of whom are me.  The original two pieces were done by Turbotauren [link] the rest were done by Perficio [link] .

Both of them did wonderful work for me.  The original pieces by TT, were "Butterfly's Seduction", featuring my OC, the Blood Elf mage, Liddy.  The second one TT did was "Prayer", an OC blood elf paladin named Meako.
The two of them are a couple who get into various mis-adventures in the course of their daily lives.  If I can get my muse to stop slacking off, I hope to write some of their adventures and hopefully share them here.

Perficio did the other seven pieces there, all different views of Liddy.  I'll be including some more of Meako soon, which he created, followed by some featuring both Liddy and Meako together.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

I re-did this journal because like the bozo I am, I put Turbotauren's name in wrong the first time.  Hope she'll forgive me.

I find myself favoriting a lot of work here on dA.  I get to hitting the 'next' button and seeing something I like, favoriting it, and moving to see what's next.  

I'm sorry to everyone if I dont take the time to write a comment on each one that I mark, but there are so many talented artist's here and I'm finding myself to be a bit more of voyeur than I expected I was.  I like to look at it all.

Sometimes stopping to comment just hinders the feng shui.  When I take the time later to go back through my favorites to admire everything, I'll try to stop and make sure that I give the artist a thumb's up and let them know I appreciate the effort, time and talent it took them to provide their art.  Please rest assured, I do appreciate it all and especially your sharing here with us all.
